Dale L. Doss, 68, of Hanover, died Thurs, Aug 1, at John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. He was the husband of Kaye A. (Miller) Doss for 24 years. Born Sept 6, 1944 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Robert & Laurie (French) Doss. Dale was a Gettysburg High School graduate and served in the army during the Vietnam War. He was the manager of S & G Concrete, Finksburg retired in 1997. Dale was a member of Littlestown FOE, Gettysburg American Legion and FOE and ABATE. He was the founder and fearless leader of God Bless America Motorcycle Color Guard. He was also the co-founder of Pete Kuhns’ memorial Christmas for Kids

Francis L. “Bud” Mummert, 88, of Littlestown, died Fri., June 21, at Hanover Hall. He was married to Jeune L. (Wilson) Mummert for 62 years until she died Dec 22, 2010. Born July 23, 1924 in Littlestown, he was the son of the late Arthur M. & Hilda G. (Bollinger) Mummert. Bud was a 1942 graduate of Littlestown High School. He served in the Army during WWII at the rank of Tech 5 in the European Theatre. He was awarded a campaign medal with 5 bronze stars, WWII victory medal and good conduct medal serving in Normany, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. Bud was employed with I.H. Crouse and Sons, formerly of Littlestown, as a master craftsman for 42 years. From 1986, he was self employed in his own cabinet and millwork shop. Bud donated his time and services to many causes and organizations. He was a life member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and a life member of the American Legion, VFW and Fish & Game, all of Littlestown
