Biography:

Anthony Vincent Popp Sr. (Vince), age 62,
passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully at home in Littlestown, PA, on June 2nd, 2024. Vince was born on November 6th, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended St. Anthonys of Padua and graduated from Calvert Hall High. His life was a tapestry of self-taught hobbies, which earned him his nickname, McGiver or Jack of all trades. Vince was an avid boater, crabber, gardener, hunter, and butcher. He also held a black belt in Hapkido and Tae Kwan Do that he earned alongside his son. Vince also enjoyed carpentry and building and built his family home by hand. He began working for BGE in June of 1994 as a distribution designer and moved to New Business in 2005, where he was a customer rep and energy analyst. During this time, Vince devoted himself to raising his family and furthering his education while attending night school at Essex Community College, where he earned a degree in engineering. In 2014, Vince was promoted to the lead senior engineering specialist at BGE, spending a total of 30 years with the company.  Vince was a man of immense skill and dedication, always striving for excellence in his chosen profession. Beyond his professional endeavors, Vince found time to coach various youth sports. He also ran a successful cobbler business, where he applied his craftsmanship and attention to detail to the repair and restoration of footwear. Vince was also devoted to his faith and church. As a dedicated servant to his church, Emerge in Hanover, PA, he selflessly offered his time and talents to his community.
He is survived by his father, Kermit W. Popp Jr., Kermit’s wife, Geri Popp, his mother, Rose Jeppi, sister K. Wendy Popp, and her family. He was the beloved husband of 31 years to Terri Popp, father of daughters Nichole Popp, Lindsay Perrera, Allison Perrera, and his son Anthony Vincent Popp Jr. (Tony) and his wife, Lauren. His legacy continues through his precious grandchildren: Isaiah, Elijah, Josiah, Salandina, Bain, and Iris.
May his memory serve as a reminder of the extraordinary impact one person can have when they live a life driven by purpose, kindness, and unwavering dedication.
Viewing is Monday, June 10, from 12 noon-2:00 P.M. at Emerge Church, 518 Wilson Ave., Hanover.  Funeral Service begins at 2:00 P.M. at church with Pastor Herb Reisig officiating.  Interment will be private. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com.

Terri, we are praying for you and your family at this time. We as a family have been talking about the times we spent with Vince. My son and daughters remember riding 4 wheels, time Vince butchered a roster. Tony's graduation party. The hunting, fishing, and crabbing. He will be missed but not forgotten. Love Rich
