Biography:

Marianne R. Long, 77, of Littlestown, died Saturday, June 1, 2024 at her home.  She was the wife of James S. Long for almost 55 years.  Born Feb 7, 1947 in Hanover, Marianne was the daughter of the late John R., Sr .& Helen (Altoff) Rudisill.  She was a Littlestown High School graduate and was retired from Littlestown Area School District since 2012 as Secretary to the Principal after 36 years of employment.

Surviving in addition to her husband is her daughter, Jayme A. Long of Littlestown; her brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.  Marianne was predeceased by her brother, John R. Rudisill, Jr.   She was an active member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Littlestown participating in PCCW, the Altar Guild, helped in the kitchen during BINGO and was a CCD/VBS teacher.

Mass of Christian Burial is Friday, June 7, at 10 A.M. at St. Aloysius with The Rev. C. Anthony Miller Celebrant.  Viewing is Thursday 6 - 8 P.M. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown. Interment is in the Parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marianne's name may be sent to American Cancer Society, P.O.Box 2174, Hagerstown, MD  21741 or to her church @ 29 S. Queen St., Littlestown, PA 17340.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

Marianne, you were the bright spot in my day for over 15 years at MAMS. You always knew what to do to calm us down and lift us up. You solved most of our problems with ease and grace. You were a very special person to everyone you met. You
will be missed. My thoughts go out to Jim and Jayme.

To my birthday buddy we had fun celebrating our birthdays together me the 4th and you the 7th of February. I will carry these memories with me for many years to come. Your health struggles have been long but no more for you walk with our Lord and enjoy no more suffering

My life was blessed with Marianne in it. I am better for knowing her, for loving her and better for having met her. May you be as Blessed in the next life, my friend, as I was in this one by knowing you, The friends who loved Marianne in life will treasure her in death. Loved and Remembered.
