Biography:
Janet E. Smith, 70 of Hanover died Saturday February 4th 2023 at UPMC Hanover. Born October 29 1952 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Edward H. and Betty A. Sterner Runk.
Janet was a 1971 Littlestown High School graduate. She worked for Kramer and Associates of Hanover and retired from Walmart.
Surviving is her daughter Amanda K. Smith of Hanover and her son Allen E. Runk of York. Her grandchildren Raven Fletcher and Caleb J. Wild and her brother Dennis Runk of Hanover. Janet was predeceased by a daughter Tonya Smith and her brother David Runk.
Janet loved wildlife and studying about it, video games, reading and being with family.
Funeral service is Thursday February the 9th at 11 A.M. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown with the Rev. Christopher Thomas officiating. There will be a viewing from 10-11 Thursday at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
