Biography: JoAnn E. DeGroft, 85, of Hanover, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at UPMC Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of Robert J. DeGroft who died in Oct 2009. Born Aug 31, 1936 in Littlestown, she was the daughter of Paul & Mary (Metelets) O'Kul. She was a high school graduate was retired from Aristokraft of Littlestown. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, LIttlestown and McSherrystown Senior Center. She enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her son, Michael DeGroft & Karen of Hanover; five grandchildren: Stephanie DeGroft, Tracey Henry, Zachary DeGroft, Taylor DeGroft and Tyler DeGroft and one great granddaughter, Emily DeGroft. She was predeceased by her three sons: Alan, Tony and Dale DeGroft and her two sisters: Emma Humbert and Dorothy Brown.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 4, at 11 A.m. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Christopher Thomas officiating. Viewing will be Saturday at 10 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com.
