Bobby (Bob) Nester, 72, of Littlestown found eternal peace with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 29th, in York Hospital after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was lovingly surrounded by family members and friends. Born on September 15, 1941 in Hanover to the late Isabelle (Morelock) and Emanuel Nester, Bob was the loving husband of Nancy (Markle) Nester for nearly 56 years. He was a devoted father to Sherry Kermes (husband Fred) of Hanover, Kathy Dutterer (husband Scott) of Littlestown, and Jody Eckhart (husband Todd) of Red Lion. Bob was also the proud grandfather of Darrell Crabbs, Jr. (wife Melissa), Amanda (Crabbs) Bushey (husband Jared), Jordan Dutterer, Ashlan Dutterer, Josiah Eckhart, and Alyssa Eckhart and six great grandchildren. Bobby is also survived by a brother, J. Steven Nester of Littlestown and two sisters, Lois Burton of Reisterstown, MD and Tammy Nash of Hampstead, MD. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward Nester and a sister, Peggy Hinkhaus

Hilda M. Pickett, 56, of Taneytown died Wed., May 7, at the Dove House in Westminster. She was the wife of Dale R. Pickett for 13 years. Born June 15, 1957 in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Grace (Keiser) Cornell. Hilda was a 1975 graduate of Westminster High School; she had worked at Cambridge Rubber Co. in Taneytown and for the last 26 years she worked at Random House of Westminster. In addition to her husband, Hilda is survived by 2 good friends, Anna Owings of McSherrystown and Michele Forry of Westminster. An uncle, John Keiser of Bonneauville and many cousins and friends. She loved reading, crocheting , cooking and cared for family through good and bad times. A funeral service will be Monday, May 12, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 5918 Conover Rd, Harney, MD at 11 AM with the Rev. Matthew Day officiating. There will be a viewing 1 hr prior to the service at the church. Interment will be private at Mountain View Cemetery, Harney. Born Sept 3, 1918 in Adams County, he was the son of the late Maurice & Alice (Smith) Sanders. Earl was a devoted husband to the late M. Bernadette (Eline) Sanders for 58 years. Also married to Betty (Arter) Hood Sanders for 14 years. In addition to his wife, Earl is also survived by 5 stepchildren: Dawn Tauscher, Lisa Dickensheets & husband, Dale; Michelle Smith & husband, Tim; Eric Hood & wife, Star and Brent Hood & wife, Vicki, all of Hanover; 8 step grandchildren: Jesse, Erin, Shane, Nathaniel, Kaybrea, Austin, Zachary and Logan and numerous nieces and nephews. Earl was predeceased by 11 siblings: Elgin, Germanus, Leroy, Raymond, Maurice, Mark, Ralph, Mary Bernadette Sanders, Elsie Tiehel, Curvin and Mildred Feeser.
