Betty Hood Sanders, 85, entered into God’s eternal care on Monday, May 18, at Hanover Hospital. She was the widow of Charles W. Hood and Earl W. Sanders who died March 2014. Born June 20, 1929 in Hanover, Betty was the daughter of the late Clarence & Regina (Eckenrode) Arter. She is survived by 5 children: Dawn Tauscher, Lisa Dickensheets & husband, Dale, Michelle Smith & husband, Tim, Eric Hood & wife, Star and Brent Hood & wife,Vicki, all of Hanover; 8 grandchildren: Jesse, Erin, Shane, Nathaniel, Kaybrea, Austin, Zachary and Logan; 4 great grandchildren: Zachary & Bradley Dickensheets, Jackson Hood and Addison Amoss. Betty was predeceased by her daughter, Robin L. Hood, her infant sister Regina Arter and her brother, C. Joseph Arter

Lake A. “Reds” Ridinger, Jr., 83, of Littlestown, was called home by God on Thursday April 30 from his earthly home. He was the husband of Fannie E. (Horton) Ridinger for 62 yrs. Born Sept 6, 1931 in Mt Joy Twp, he was the son of the late Lake, Sr. & Mary (Hawk) Ridinger. Reds was a 1949 Gettysburg High School graduate and a longtime farmer. He also worked on the Eisenhower Farms. He was retired from Shindler Elevator in 1997 after 18 yrs. He continued working part time as courier for Wintrode Chevy Buick, Renn Kirby and Bar Ray. He also served as constable for Mt. Joy Twp.

John Richard ‘Dick” Peeling, 73 of Littlestown died early Sunday April 26 at Manor Care North, York. He was the husband of Ruth Gill Peeling of Littlestown for 53 years. There will be a memorial service Friday May 1 at 2 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown with his pastor, The Rev. John G. Largen officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
