Biography: Wayne K. Wantz, 90, of Littlestown, died Wed., May 5, 2021 at Manor Care of Dallastown.  He was the husband of Buna (Hopson) Honeycutt Wantz of Dallastown.  Born May 18, 1930 in Baltimore County, Wayne was the son of the late Noah I. & Ruth N. (Bowers) Wantz.  He attended Charles Carroll School, Westminster, and served in the U.S. Army.  Wayne was retired from Mitchell Transport in 1987 after 20 years of employment.

Surviving are his five children:  Robert W. Wantz & Sue of Union Bridge, Richard A. Wantz of Taneytown, W. Michael Wantz & Cindy of Gettysburg, Sis Hively of Emmittsburg, Lyn Fraley of Thurmont; his  7 grandchildren, several step grandchildren and many great grandchildren;  his two brothers, Joseph F. Wantz of Westminster, Roger L. Wantz of Mechanicsburg and his two sisters, Alice Fritz of Gettysburg and Nancy Miller of Hanover.  Wayne was predeceased by his son, Ronald E. Wantz; his sisters:  Viola Wentz, Catherine Wantz, Pauline Utz and his brothers:  Norman, Roy and Glenn Wantz.  Wayne was a member of Gates of Praise Worship Center and F.O.E., both of Littlestown and Hanover Home Assoc.  He enjoyed camping and crabbing and was a good mechanic.

Funeral Service is Monday, May 10 at 11 A.M. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown with the Rev. Samuel A. Garrett officiating. Viewing is 10 -11 A.M.
