Biography: Richard C. Meinke, Sr., 88, of Littlestown, died Thurs, Apr 29, at Montclaire Manor of Fulton, MD.  He was the widower of Virginia L. (Glaser) Meinke who died April 5, 2021. Born Jan 22, 1933 in Canton, OH, Richard was the son of the late Carl W. & Hazel Zepha (Huey) Meinke.  He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.  Richard worked in telephone maintenance for Bell System of Catonsvillle, MD retiring in 1995.

Richard is survived by his children:  Richard C. Meinke, Jr. of Fawn Grove, PA, Barbara L. Mearman of Littlestown, Laura J. Perry of Algonquin, IL and Peggy A. Whitney of Reno, NV; his 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his sister, Joanne Boyer and his brother, Leonard Meinke.  Richard was member of Krider's UCC, Westminster.

Hello,

I was a regular at McDonald’s in littlestown and I met both of your parents a couple years ago there in the morning. Very nice people, really enjoyed talking to your dad and mom especially your dad!! Great guy!! Your mom was super nice!! Both where very funny and always had a smile on there face, especially your mom!! I live out of state now and just noticed the obituary. Sorry to see they passed away and so close together!

So sorry to hear of the passing of your parents, Dick and Ginny. It’s never easy to say goodbye. We’ll always remember the friendship they shared with us. May the memory of good times past stay with you and ease the pain of loss you feel today.

How disheartening that once again I'm sending condolences to the family. Joe and I had so much fun with you on those Lincoln Bus tours. R.I.P. my friend and now you and Virginia are together again~~
