Biography:

Evan D. Kline, Jr., 80, formerly of Littlestown, died Sunday, Nov 4, at his home in New Oxford. He was the husband of Mildred (Hilker) Kline for 54 years. Born March 31, 1932 in Littlestown, he was the son of the late Evan D., Sr. & Elva M. (Stonesifer) Kline. Evan was a 1951 Littlestown High School graduate and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He had been a Fertilizer salesman for AgCom and was retired from PNC Bank in 1994.
 
Surviving in addition to his wife, are daughter & son-in-law, Shana K. & Simon Welch of Downingtown; 2 grandsons: Henry & Guy Welch and 3 brothers: LeRoy D. Kline, Sr. of Spring Grove; Larry R. Kline of FL and Ray A. Kline of California, MD. He was predeceased by a brother, Harvey W. Kline.
 
Evan was a member of St. Mary's U.C.C., Silver Run; Hanover Republican Club; Littlestown American Legion; Board of Directors for Protection Mutual; Gettysburg Investment Club and Adams County Historical Society.
 
Graveside Services are private in Fairview Cemetery, Wrightsville. A Memorial Service is Thursday, Nov 8, at 3 P.M. at St. Mary's U.C.C., Silver Run with The Rev. Dr. Richard W. Scott officiating. There will be no Viewing. Memorials in Evan's name may be sent to: Hershey Medical Center, Cancer Institute, 500 University Dr., Hershey, PA 17033. Oh, Millie and Shana, I\'m so sorry for your loss. I always thought that \"Sunny\" was the perfect name for Sonny Kline because of the way he could brighten up a room with his smile and laughter. When my kids were very young they were so impressed with the way he saved the birthday party favors of candy. They could never resist sugar in any form!

Ray, my sincere condolences to you and your family on the loss of your brother. Hopefully you can all feel comfort in knowing that he is in a better place and no longer suffering. Heartfelt prayers will be coming your way from the parishioners of Our Lady of the Lake in Holland, MI.
