Biography: Barbara J. Moreland, 75, of Littlestown, died Saturday, March 6, 2021 at her home.  She was the wife of Kenneth A. Moreland for 40 years.  Born Aug 19, 1945 in Romney, WV, Barbara was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Jim Fout.  She was a Romney High School graduate and was retired from Westinghouse of Sykesville, MD.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are her sons, Eric J. Symonds of Hampstead, MD; Mark A. Symonds of Taneytown and David Woolford of Red Lion; her seven grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her sister, Gerry Fooks of Keyser, WV.  Barbara was predeceased by her brother, Raymond.  She was a founding member of Taneytown Baptist Church and was on the Caring & Sharing committee. Barbara enjoyed her time at church and times spent with her family.

Memorial Service is Saturday, March 13, at 2 P.M. at her church with Pastor Jared Paukhurst officiating with live streaming available - link is on church's Facebook page.  COVID-19 restrictions will be observed with limited seating, social distancing and mask wearing.  Memorials in Barbara's name may be sent to her church @ 4150 Sells Mill Rd., Taneytown, MD  21787. Our heartful sympathy to all of Barb's family. May God comfort you duing this difficult time. We feel your pain and loss. Barb and I had the most special friendship during Barbs early years in Maryland. We shared so many great times together, times that will live in our hearts and memories forever. We are blessed that she was a part of our life's journey. We loss a friend, Heaven has gained another angel.

so sorry for this loss of a lovely lady... enjoyed camping at Rocky Gap with Ken and Barbara... Praying for Ken and all of family for God's strength and peace.

I am so sorry to hear a Barbs passing. You two were so special to Wanda and I. We have some special times together and I will never forget them. I am praying for you brother ken.
