Biography: Gene L. Rohrer, 78, died Thursday, Jan 21, at his home in Glenville.  He was the husband of Ida (Glacken) Rohrer of Glenville for 59 years.  Born Sept 10, 1942 in New Oxford, Gene was the son of the late James C. & Dorothy Louey Rohrer.  He was a truck driver for L & H Trucking.  

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children:  Diane Winand of Littlestown; Barbara Bankert of Hanover; Brenda Sample of Glenville and Sherry Hill of Hanover; his 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren; his brothers:  Dennis Rohrer of Hanover, David Rohrer of Abbottstown, Tom Rohrer of Gettysburg and his sisters:  Darlene Krichten of Littlestown, Tina Roll of Butler, Carol Hahn of Spring Grove, Joyce McWilliams of Hanover and Christina Wolfe of York Springs. Gene enjoyed hunting and fishing.
