Vernon and I go back to 1973 when we sat beside each other at the Academy. We also served together at the old Westminster Barrack. He was always an outstanding trooper as well as a good friend. Our prayers go out to all his family. The good Lord has an excellent man by his side. He will be missed by all who knew him and called him a friend. God Bless - Max and Jan Schulte, Finksburg,Md.

I worked with Vernon with the Md. State Police. He was one of the most down to earth people I have ever met. I developed a great deal of respect for Vernon as a trooper and more importantly as a friend. He will be missed. May God grant him eternal peace. My condolences to his family.
