Biography: Roger W. Airing, 62, of Taneytown, died Tuesday, May 19, at the Dove House, Westminster. Born May 17, 1958 in Gettysburg, Roger was the son of the late Richard E. & Ethel (Warner) Airing. He was a 1976 Francis Scott Key High School graduate and was a self employed painter.
Surviving are his son, William "Billy" Koons of Waynesboro; his 2 grandchildren; his brothers, David C. of Westminster and Larry E. Airing of Taneytown; his aunt, Erma Jane Airing of Taneytown; his uncles, Fred Warner of Union Bridge and Raymond Warner of Littlestown and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Roger was predeceased by his infant son, Roger W. Airing, Jr. and his brother, Gary R. Airing. He was a member of Grace UCC, Taneytown; American Legion of Westminster, FOE of Littlestown, Westminster Moose and a social member of Harney VFW. Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR and Oakland Raiders and drinking Budweiser.
Memorial Graveside Service is private in Grace UCC Cemetery, Taneytown. Contributions in Rogers name may be sent to his nephew, Richard Airing,3919 Old Taneytown Rd., Taneytown, MD 21787, to help defray funeral expenses. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com.
