It is rare to meet a person who is the total package..... beauty, grace, kindness, strong and a fighter. I worked with Joan and she always stopped by my work area to see how I was. We shared a lot of laughs and wonderful memories. Even though she was in her own battle she never failed to ask me how my mom was doing. She loved her family and friends with all her heart. So dear Joan this isn't goodbye but I will just say see you later.

How can anyone convey in words, Joan's strength, fight, and depth of faith? Never in my years have I known anyone as strong and determined but also so gentle and kind. I considered Joan not only a true friend but a soul sister, as well. I only hope I can live my life using hers as an example of how we all should live and experience our remaining time on this earth. God Bless you, Joan and God Bless Mike and the kids!

Dearest Jodie your mother was an amazingly strong fighter and survivor. I guess there just comes a time when you have to accept that there is no more fight left. I love your mother and my heart and soul go out to you for her loss. She waited for Leon which doesn't surprise me at all. I love you my dear friend.

Aunt Joan was one of the most caring person that I know. When I was sick, there were days that I didn't think I could go on anymore. No matter had bad Aunt Joan felt she was always there for me to help me through it. She always put everyone else before herself. I love and miss you so much. Until we meet again I will always hold you in my heart!
