Biography:
Doris G. Stoots, 80, of Littlestown, died Tues, April 23, at Fox Sub Acute, Mechanicsburg. She was the wife of George C. Stoots of Littlestown for 50 years. Born Dec 9, 1938 in Dundee, Scotland, UK, Doris was the daughter of the late Charles & Jesse (Duchars) Gow. She had been a baker for Weikert’s Bakery, Littlestown. She was employed in food service at Gettysburg College for 15 years where she was an employee of the month and also of the year.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are her son Christopher Jason Stoots of Oneco, CT; her daughter Tracy Lynn Grimes of Sunepee, NH; her 5 grandchildren and her brother, Ron Gow of Toronto, Canada. Doris was predeceased by her brothers and sisters. She was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan. She loved cooking, baking, camping and her children and grandchildren.
Funeral Service is Saturday, April 27, at 11 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with Pastor Paul Cole, Pastor Emeritus Calvary Baptist Church, Biglerville. Viewing is 10-11 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment is private. Contributions have been asked to go to Little’s Funeral Home, P.O. Box 155, Littlestown, PA 17340 to help defray funeral expenses.
