Biography:

Shirley J. Hare,73, formerly of Bonneauville, died Thurs, Feb 28, at Colonial Manor Nursing & Rehab, York.  She was the wife of Dennis R. Hare for 49 years.  Born March 1, 1945 in Silver Run, Shirley was the daughter of Mabel (Myers) Leese of Bonneauville and the late Roy Leese.  She attended Charles Carroll School of Union Mills.  She had been employed with Jack Tar of Littlestown for 10 years and was a home baby-sitter for 20 years.
 
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother, are her daughter Tina M. Hare of Gettysburg; her grandchildren:  Dakota & Makayla Irvin and Harper Supik; her brothers Earl Leese & Alice of Gettysburg and Melvin Leese & Donna of Hanover and her sister-in-law Brenda Leese of Littlestown.  Shirley was predeceased by her brother Donald Leese.  She was member of St. Mary’s Lutheran Church, Silver Run.  Shirley loved gardening and playing cards.
 
Funeral Service is Monday, March 4, at 11 A.M. at her church with The Rev. W. Allen Reed officiating.  Viewing is 10 – 11 A.M. Monday at church.  Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Silver Run.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com
