Biography:
Rita DeWitt, 88, of Littlestown, died Saturday, Feb 23, at her home. She was the widow of Robert D. DeWitt, Sr. who died May 15, 2008. Born March 12, 1930 in Kearny, NJ, Rita was the daughter of the late John & Mary (Kelly) Carragher. She was a high school graduate and was employed as a legal secretary.
Surviving are her son, Robert D. DeWitt, Jr. of Littlestown; her 4 grandchildren; a great grandchild and her brother, Jack Carragher of Sarasota, FL. Rita was predeceased by her 3 sisters and a brother.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be private in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Rita’s name may be sent to: Alpha Fire Company, 40 E. King St., Littlestown PA 17340. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com
