Biography:

Vernon H. Study, Jr., 76, of Littlestown, died Saturday, Jan 5, at Transitions Health Care, Gettysburg.  He was the husband of Donna M. (Morelock) Study for 54 years.  Born Aug 27, 1942 in Hanover, Vern was the son of the late Vernon H., Sr. & Bernice (Wintrode) Study.  He was a 1960 Littlestown High School graduate and served in the Pennsylvania National Guard.  Vern had been a cook at Schottie’s Restaurant, Littlestown and retired as sales associate at Trostle’s Furniture, Gettysburg.
 
Surviving in addition to his wife are his mother-in-law, Betty F. Morelock of Gettysburg; his daughter, Caroline S. Foreman & Larry of Hampstead, MD; his son Matthew G. Study & Cary of Hanover; his 4 grandchildren:  Grant & Jacob Foreman and Katherine & Margaret Study; his brother Bruce A. & Michelle of Gettysburg and his sister Sandra Mummert & Stephen of Spring Grove.  Vern was predeceased by his grandson Thomas C. Foreman.  He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown.  He enjoyed watching the Littlestown Thunderbolts, Baltimore Orioles and Ravens and spending time with his family.
 
Per Vernon’s wishes, there will be no service.  Memorials in his name may be sent to Alzheimer’s Assoc., 2595 Interstate Dr., Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA  17110  or Thunderbolt Foundation ( written on memo line) and made payable to “Adams County Community Foundation”, P.O. Box 4565, Gettysburg, PA  17325.  The family wishes to thank relatives, friends and neighbors who have helped over the years and especially the nurses at Transitions.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

His struggles are over and I feel he is in a better place. I know that your struggles are over as well. Anyone that is married and goes through this knows how this feels. Peace be with you Donna.
