Biography:

Harry A. Strine, 93, of Gettysburg, died early Saturday A.M., Dec 29, at his home.  He was the husband of Yvonne “Bonnie” (Weikert) Strine for 63 years.  Born April 23, 1925 in Littlestown,  Harry was the son of the late Harry A., Sr. & Carrie Belle (Krenzer) Strine.  He was a 1943 Littlestown High School graduate and was a Sergeant in the army during WWII serving with the 553rd MP Escort Guard.  Harry was retired from Littlestown Post Office since December 1985 as Postmaster. 
 
Surviving in addition to his wife are his son, Bradford A. Strine & Stacie of Magnolia, TX; his daughters, Lorri Sue Boone & Milton of Orrtanna; Amanda L. Steinour & Ed of Gettysburg; his 7 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren and his sister Helen Maitland of Gettysburg.  Harry was predeceased by his 2 sisters, Pauline Epley and Bernice Blocher.  He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown; Charter member of Littlestown VFW; a member of Littlestown American Legion, National League of retired Postmasters, Hanover Elks, and Littlestown FOE. 
 
Funeral Service is Thursday, Jan 3, 2019, at 11 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Chris Thomas officiating.  Viewings are Wednesday 5 – 7 P.M. and Thursday 10 – 11 A.M. at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family.  Memorials in Harry’s name may be sent to SpiriTrust Lutheran Care Hospice – 2700 Luther Dr., Chambersburg, PA  17201 or Adams County SPCA – 11 Goldenville Rd., Gettysburg, PA  17325.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.c

Bonnie, Brad, Sue and Mandy. I am so very sorry to hear of Harry’s passing. I know how much he meant to all of you. He was a great husband, a great father, a great friend, a great man! I will always have very fond memories of him. He will be missed. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Brad, Sue and Mandy, I am so sorry to learn of your father's passing. I always enjoyed listening to so many stories, so many memories and so many happy times shared by all of you from your younger days.
