Biography:
Mildred E. Bachman, 84, formerly of Littlestown, died Tues, Dec 11, at The Brethren Home, New Oxford. She was the wife of Fern A. Bachman, Sr. of New Oxford for 64 years. Born Feb 26, 1934 in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter M. & Grace M. (Reck) Schwartz. She was a 1953 Gettysburg High School graduate and was retired form Littonian Shoe of Littlestown.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her son, Fern A. Bachman, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; her daughter Lu Ann E. Klunk of New Oxford; her 4 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; her great, great grandson; and her sisters: Betty Sterner of Gettysburg, Mary Jane Collins & Ron and Joyce Leaman & David, all of Waynesboro. Mildred was predeceased by her granddaughter Leslie Bachman and her sister Nadine Brown. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown. Mildred enjoyed gardening, planting her flowers, mowing grass and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Service is Wed, Dec 19, at 11 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Majorie Lawver, Chaplain, officiating. Viewing is 10-11 A.M. Wed at the funeral home. Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. Memorials in Mildred’s name may be sent to the charity of one’s choice. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com
