Biography:

Anne Karns Mummert, 80, of Littlestown died Tuesday, Dec 11, at UPMC Pinnacle Hanover.  She was the widow of Stanley E. Mummert who died Aug 30, 2014.  Born June 14, 1938 in Jennerstown, she was the daughter of the late Rev. William C.  & Ruth (Rohm) Karns.  She was a 1956 Littlestown High School graduate and a graduate of Strayer Business School.  Anne had been a guidance office secretary for Littlestown School District.
 
Surviving are her son, William C. Mummert & Anne of Westminster, CO; her daughter Holly Mummert Udy of Hagerstown, MD; her grandchildren:  Justin Mummert, Alex, Austin & Amanda Udy; her great grandchildren:  Blakely & Adley Mummert and her sister Melinda Hummel of Catonsville, MD.  Anne was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown.  She loved spending time with her family and was especially delighted with her great grandchildren and had a special relationship with her grandchildren.  Anne was very close with her sister, Melinda, and they were a great support system for each other.
 
Funeral Service is Saturday, Dec 15, at 10:30 A.M. at St. John’s with The Rev. Rebecca Ajer-Frantz officiating.  The family with receive friends from 9:30 –10:30 A.M. at the church.  Interment is in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Littlestown.  Memorials in Anne’s name may be sent to:  Karns Hall Fund, 665 St. Johns Rd., Littlestown, PA  17340.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

I have such a heavy heart for the loss of my second mom! Deepest sympathies to my soul sister Holly, Alex, Austin, Amanda, Bill and family. Mom and Dad Mummert are walking hand in hand again in God’s kingdom! I rejoice for them but sorrow for all left behind. May God’s grace fill you with peace. Lots of love!

I am so sorry to hear of Anne's passing she was one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met. I had the privilege of working with her in the office at Maple Avenue as a student aid. I will be keeping the family in my thoughts and prayers.
