Biography:
Dorothy M. Barnes, 74, of Littlestown, died Monday, Dec 10, at The Brethren Home, New Oxford. She was the wife of Lester L. Barnes for 53 years. Born June 8, 1944 in Gettysburg, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Francis B. & Genevieve (Reese) Storm. She was a Delone High School graduate and had been employed with Littlestown Area School District as Cafeteria Manager retiring in 2006 after 30 years of service.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughter, Kelly Young & Aaron of Hanover; her son Michael Barnes & Joan of Littlestown; her 4 grandchildren: Nathan Barnes, Luke & Jenna Young and Jodie Clabaugh; great grandson Justin Clabaugh and her 4 sisters: Patricia Straley, Barbara Storm, Sandra Hansford and Shirl Corbett. Dot was predeceased by her brother, Frank Storm. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Littlestown. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial is Friday, Dec 14, at 10 A.M. at St. Aloysius with The Rev. C. Anthony Miller Celebrant. Viewings are Thursday 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 P.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown. Interment is in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nathan Barnes, Luke Young, Justin Clabaugh, Eric & Cory Barnes and Clifton Guise. Memorials in Dorothy’s name may be sent to Alzheimer’s Assoc., 2595 Interstate Dr., Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or Golden Visions, 250 Fame Ave. #125, Hanover, PA 17331 or The Brethren Home, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA 17350. Lester, my sincere sympathy to the passing of your dear wife. She was a wonderful woman, very kind and a extremely hard. I really enjoyed 10 years working with her.Dot will be missed greatly.

So very sorry to hear of your loss. Dot was always such a sweet lady and I will always have fond memories of her, especially all the fun times we all had in the mountains at our cabins and at family gatherings with her laugh and smile. Praying for all of you during this difficult time!
