Biography:

Sarah H. Chembars, 76, of Littlestown, died Friday, Sept 21, at UPMC Pinnacle.  She was the widow of Richard L. Chembars, Sr. who died Jan 20, 2007.  Born Sept 3, 1942 in Aliquippa, she was the daughter of the late William & Pauline (Podoloak) Stolkovich.  She was a 1961 Monaca High School graduate. Sarah was a stay-at-home mom, a substitute teacher and was employed with Prince George’s County schools in the cafeteria. 
 
Surviving are her 3 sons:  Richard L. Chembars & Jackie of Mechanicsville, MD;  Donald O. Chembars & Kimberley of Beaver and Michael D. Chembars & Htwe of San Antonio, TX; her 7 grandchildren:  Jennifer,Richard, Katherine, Amber, Jessica, Staci and Michael and her 4 great grandchildren:  Liam, Elijah, Alaina and Charlotte; her brother Don Stolkovich of Hampstead, MD and her sisters:  Marcia Hughes of Hookstown and Sandy Kelly of Irwin.  Sarah was predeceased by her twin brother William Stolkovich.  Sarah was a very active and strong Christian.  She loved animals, children, cooking, baking, volunteering and giving to the less fortunate.
 
Funeral Service is Friday, Sept 28, at 11 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with Pastor Gary Buchman officiating.  There will be NO viewing; however, the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time on Friday.  Interment is in Christ Church Cemetery, Littlestown.  Memorials in Sarah’s name may be sent to Adams County Rescue Mission, 2515 York Rd., Gettysburg, PA  17325 or Adams County SPCA – 11 Goldenville Rd., Gettysburg.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

We are so saddened over the loss of our cousin, Sara. She was such a sweet person and always had a smile on her face--I have many wonderful memories of her. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the family at this difficult time.

Our deepest sympathy to Sarah's family. She was a very sweet woman. We have only known her since we joined Gates of Praise church in 2013. She will be missed by her church family. Prayers to all the family.
