Biography:
Charles S. Moose, 87, of Littlestown, died Tues, Aug 7, at Lorien Taneytown. He was the husband of Jacqeline (Carpenter) Moose for 66 years. Born Aug 15, 1930 in Littlestown, Charlie was the son of the late M. Albert & Matilda (Yingst) Moose. He attended Littlestown High School. Charlie was a heavy equipment operator for 30 years for Dry Kilns of Hanover.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughter Jacque M. Bowman & Kenneth of Mount Pleasant, SC; his step granddaughter, Ashley Bowman; numerous nieces and nephews and his adored cat, Abigail. Charlie was predeceased by his step grandson, Trip Bowman, his brothers: William, John, LeRoy and Richard Moose and his sisters: Christine Shryock and Evelyn Ott. Charlie was a member of New Hope Faith Community Church, Hanover and a life member of Alpha Fire Co., Littlestown. He loved woodworking and gardening.
Funeral Service is Friday, Aug 10, at 11 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown, with The Rev. Jeffrey Reaver officiating. Viewing is Thursday 3 – 5 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment is in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. Contributions in Charlie’s name may be sent to: American Cancer Society – 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
