Biography: Littlestown formerly of Westminster - Earl O. Anderson, age 84, passed away on Thursday, July 26th at the Brethren Home Community, after suffering many years with dementia. He was born on July 12, 1934 in Iron Mountain Michigan to Alban & Rose (Gagne) Anderson. He was a very proud member of the Iron Mountain High School Class of 1952. He was on the ski team, football team and many other groups in high school. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Earl had many jobs in his life but enjoyed his 30 years with Random House the most. He loved playing golf. He was a member of the Westminster Elks Lodge, former president of the Littlestown Eagles, former president of the Charles Carroll Lions Club and a member of the Westminster Lions Club. He was a charter member of the Wakefield Valley Golf Course and a Buc's Club member.
He loved working in his woodshop and playing golf.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bobby (Roberta) of 52 years and his three children; sons, Art Anderson and wife, Wendy of Hanover, PA, Lt. Col. (Retired) Glenn Anderson and wife, Lt. Col. (Retired) Lisa Anderson of Westminster, MD and daughter, Jeri Anderson and husband, Rick Wolfe of Taneytown, MD. He is also survived by his five loving grandchildren, Airman 1st Class Robert Wolfe stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base, SD, Jordan Wolfe of Taneytown, MD, Berkeley & Chase Anderson of Hanover, PA and Amy Lee Anderson of Westminster, MD and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Mother, Father, infant brother, Arthur and older brother, Leonard Anderson, formerly of Norway, MI.
Visitation will be held one hour before the service on Wednesday, August 1st from 10-11 AM at Littles Funeral Home in Littlestown. Memorial Service is 11 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. C. Anthony Miller officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff in Somerset at the Brethren Home for their wonderful care of Earl. We love you all.
