Biography:
Daniel E. Shomper, 56, of Littlestown died Monday, June 11, at his home. Born March 18, 1962 in Gettysburg, Dan was the son of Barbara A. (Swam) Shomper of Littlestown and the late John E. Shomper. He was a 1980 Littlestown High School graduate and was a manager for Kennie’s Markets.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his daughter, Jennifer M. Myers of Biglerville; his grandchildren: Anthony C., Austin S. and Abigail L. Myers; his brothers: James L. Shomper & wife, Maria, and Timothy R. Shomper; his sister Marcia E. Forsythe & husband, David, all of Littlestown and his former wife, Sherry L. Herman of Mansfield. Dan was a member of Redeemer’s U.C.C., Littlestown and loved his grandchildren.
Funeral Service is Thurs, June 14, at 11 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with his pastor, The Rev. Sterling Fritz officiating. Viewing is 10-11 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment is in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. Memorials in Dan’s name may be sent to: American Heart Association – 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603 or American Cancer Society – 924 N. Dear Friends, I’m so sorry to hear this sad news. I have such pleasant memories of him as a young person ! Happy, helpful, and so kind.
