Biography:
Luther S. Hess, III, of Littlestown, died Monday, June 4, at The Dove House, Westminster. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Vosburgh) Hess for 34 years. Born Oct 23, 1953 in Gettysburg, Luther was the son of Luther S. Hess, Jr. & Shelby of Hanover and the late Dolores (Good) Hess. He was a 1972 Littlestown High School graduate and was employed with SKF of Hanover for 45 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife, father & stepmother are his daughter, Laura A. Hess of Littlestown; his son, Timothy S. Hess & wife, Yuko, of San Diego, CA; his granddaughter, Emma L. Hess; his brother Greg A. Hess of New Oxford; his sister Larissa Schell of Bellefonte and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Melissa Richardson. Luther was a member of Cross Keys Fellowship of New Oxford. He enjoyed camping, playing cards with family, family gatherings and vacations.
Funeral Service is Saturday, June 9, at 11:30 A.M. at his church on 785 Berlin Rd. with Pastor Sandy D. Adams officiating. There will be no viewing; however, the family will receive friends 10-11:30 A.M. Saturday at church. Inurnment is private at a later date.
