Biography:

Manetta E. Redding, 92, formerly of Littlestown and currently of The Brethren Home, New Oxford, died early Saturday A.M., March 31, at Hanover Hospital.  She was the widow of Clair J. Redding who died Nov 28, 1994.  Born Dec 30, 1925 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late David L. & Cora (Mayers) Crabbs.  Many years ago, she had been employed with Windsor Shoe Co., Littlestown and was retired from Littonian Shoe. 
 
Surviving is her son, Ronald C. Redding & wife, Mary, of Hanover; her grandchildren:  Joseph Lee, Laura Ann and Thomas Nathan Redding; and her great grandchildren: Ciara & Karina Redding, Derek, Tyler, Caden & Avery Herbison. Manetta was predeceased by her brother, Earl Crabbs and her sisters:  Evelyn Reed, Virginia Feeser and Arlene Anthony.
 
Manetta was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and a life member of Alpha Fire Co. Aux., both of Littlestown.  She loved to bake and was very devoted to her grandchildren.
 
Funeral Mass is Friday, April 6, at 10:30 A.M. at her church with the Rev. C. Anthony Miller Celebrant.  Viewing is Friday 9:15 – 10:15 A.M. at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the parish cemetery.  Memorials in Manetta’s name may be sent to St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 29 S. Dear Redding family, so sorry to hear of Manetta's passing. I knew her from visiting her roommate Millie Leedy. I always enjoyed chatting with Manetta.
