Biography:
Doris F. Tawney, 68, of Littlestown, died Wed, Feb 21, at Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ronald L. Tawney who died Dec 26, 2014. Born April 5, 1949 in Charlestown, WV, Doris was the daughter of the late Charles & Juanita (Smallwood) Shaffer. She was a high school graduate and was the manager and bookkeeper for Shopper’s Groceries of Maryland.
Surviving is her son, Bruce L. Spealman & wife, Stacy of Westminster; her daughter, Patti T. Wall & husband, Ron of Mt. Airy; her sister-in-law, Linda Flinkman of Littlestown; her grandchildren: Christine Cooley & Austin, Dana Ritter & Matt and Danielle Spealman; her great grandchildren: Kylie, Ieleigh and Colton; her brother Richard Shaffer & Sandi Fields of Baltimore and her sisters: Donna Mattson & Roger of Colorado, Linda Stewart and Marsha Browning. Doris was predeceased by her brother-in-law, George Flinkman. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
