Paul F. "Pete" Stover, Jr.

Biography:

Paul F. “Pete” Stover, Jr., 88, passed from this earth from The Brethren Home, New Oxford, on Tues, Feb 20.  He was the beloved husband of Margie A. (Snyder) Stover for 33 years.  Pete was born in Thomasville on January 30, 1930 to the late Paul F. & Grace (Keeny) Stover. He was of the Lutheran faith.  He served in the U.S. Army after WW II and stationed in Washington, DC.  Pete was a certified welder with Allis Chalmers Hydro Electric Plant and ESAB Welding Research and Development.  He retired from ESAB in 1995 after 22 yrs of service. 
 
In addition to his wife, Pete is survived by his daughter, Debra L. Zumbrum; Stepchildren:  Debra T. Little & Gregg, Steven D. Trostle, Robert W. Trostle & Connie and Pamela T. Griesemer; his granddaughter Amber L. Shaffer, Step grandchildren:  Rachel Little, Alexandra Little, Wesley Trostle, Wyatt Trostle, Daniel Topper & Ang, Alexandra Trostle and Andrew Griesemer;  his great grandchildren:  Jacob Shaffer and Benjamin & Charlotte Topper; his sister Joan M. Shearer and his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Pete was predeceased by his sisters Phyllis Hess and Geraldine Lucabaugh.
 
After Pete and Margie moved to Cross Keys Village in 2007, he enjoyed volunteering at Mission Point on Mondays and Thursdays and was willing to help wherever needed.  His sense of humor was well-known in the village and he truly enjoyed living at C.K.V.   Following cremation, burial will be private at the convenience of the family in St. Jacobs (Stone Church) Cemetery, Brodbecks.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Pete’s name may be sent to The Good Samaritan Fund at Cross Keys Village, The Brethren Home Community, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA  17350.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

I worked with Pete at Alloy Rods/ESAB for many years and considered him one of my best friends. You could always get a smile from Pete, and he was never too busy for his friends. My sincerest sympathy to Marge and Deb. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
