Biography:
Joan L. Grimsley, 76, of Hanover, died Sunday, Oct 29, at her daughter’s home in Littlestown. She was the widow of Herman E. Grimsley who died April 14, 2014. Born May 16, 1941 in Baltimore, Joan was the daughter of the late William & Theresa Ann Snyder. She was a high school graduate and had been an insurance agent and a licensed cosmetologist.
Surviving are her daughters: Veronica Groft & husband, Cory, of Littlestown; Sabina Hege of Lewisville, NC; her 5 grandchildren: Shanna Groft, Jessica Young, Tanya Smith, Amir Sadri and Zachary Hege; her 5 great grandchildren: Alexander Groft, Shyenne Young, Nathaniel Wagaman, Lillian Smith and Donovan Smith; and her brother, William Ellsworth Snyder, Jr. of Maryland. Joan was a Yorkshire Terrier Breeder.
Funeral Service is Thursday, Nov 2, at 1 P.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with Pastor Malcolm B. Workman officiating. Viewing is Wed, Nov 1, 6 – 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment is in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

Joan's passing is a hurt we will feel for a long time. She definitely leaves an empty space that can't possibly be filled by anyone. Everyone is going to miss her.
