Harold R. "Judge" Krichten

Biography:

Harold R. “Judge” Krichten, 93 of Littlestown went to be with the Lord Saturday October 28. He was the husband of Helen Slick Krichten, his wife of 54 years who died September 22, 2006. Born August 5, 1924 in Littlestown, he was the son of the late Clarence and Minnie Simon Krichten. Judge was a member of St. James U.C.C. in Littlestown, a life member of Alpha Fire Co., Littlestown Eagles and a member of the V.F.W. He retired from B.A.E. of York in 1990. Judge proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He is survived by his sons Neal Krichten and wife Geri of Littlestown, Eric Krichten and  Terry Anne Boggs of Jordan, MN. Daughters Roxy Firestone of Bendersville, Michele Craig and husband Mark of St. Michaels, MD and Lisa Newport of Surprize, AZ. Grandchildren Stacy Workman and Dan, Emily Firestone, Jesse Firestone, Brandon Newport, Trevor Newport and Chelle, Mallorie Buckley and Ben and Margot Kimmick and Butch. Great grandchildren Luke, Lane, Lee Ann, Abby, Colton, Clayton and long time friend Madeline Smith. Judge enjoyed spending time with his family, going out to eat, watching Penn State football,  Ravens and Orioles game. He also liked riding his lawn mower, gator and visiting his favorite dog “Annie”. He was predeceased by his grandson Brian Menchey and brother and sister in-law Clarence “Jr” and Snookie Krichten. Funeral service is Friday Nov. 3 at 11 A.M. at Littles’s Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Aument officiating. There will be a viewing Friday from 10-11 at the Funeral Home. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James U.C.C., PO Box 425, Littlestown PA, 17340. Online condolences may be shares on www.littlesfh.com.

He sure loved his family and was a part of many things. I'm glad to have known him even a little.
