Biography:
Richard A. Trostle, 93, of Littlestown, died Mon, Oct 23, at Transitions of Gettysburg. He was the husband of the late Mildred (Crosby) Trostle. Born Oct 1, 1924 in Littlestown, Richard was the son of the late Burnell & Mildred (Senift) Trostle. He was a City High School graduate of Baltimore and served in the Army Air Corps in the 369th Bomb Squadron during WW II. Richard was stationed in southern France, Rhineland and central Europe and completed 30+ missions over Germany as a top gunner in a B-17. He was owner/operator of Bon Air Exxon of Baltimore.
Surviving are his daughters: Deborah Lynn Boehning of Glendale, AZ and Joanne Marie Dauber of Reading, CA and his nephew Mark Trostle of Westminster. Richard was predeceased by his brother Homer Trostle. He was a trophy hunter who loved traveling, camping, dancing, snowmobiling and his chocolate Lab, Hershey.
Funeral Service is Thurs, Oct 26, at 11 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Christopher Thomas officiating. Viewing is Thurs 9:30-11 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment is in Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery, Baltimore. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com
