Biography:
D. Allen Mummert, 90, of Littlestown, died Friday, Oct 13, at his home. He was the widower of Kathryn C. Mummert who died Jan 2, 2017. Born March 10, 1927 in Harney, MD, he was the son of the late Charles W. Mummert & Lilian (Fuss) Mummert Spangler. He served in the army during WWII and was a service manager for Wintrode Buick and retired in 1997 after 45 years of service.
Surviving are his son, Douglas C. Mummert & wife Brenda of Bonneauville, his 3 grandsons: Joshua, Cody & Caleb Mummert and his 2 great granddaughters: Olivia & Jayne Mummert. Allen was predeceased by his son, David A. Mummert, Jr., his brothers: Wesley, Oscar & Howard Mummert and his sister, Erma Crawmer. He like going out to eat, traveling, watching NASCAR, being outdoors, working on cars, hunting & fishing and spending time with his family.
