Biography:
Marlene "Joyce" Hoffman Smith, 81, of Everett, PA, formerly of Silver Run, MD, died Sunday, July 1, at Conemaugh Hospital, Johnstown, PA. She was the widow of The Honorable Judge Donald M. Smith who died Aug 19, 2009. Born June 28, 1931 in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles & Kathryn Hoffman. She was a 1948 Gettysburg High School graduate and a secretary at Alloy Rods, Hanover until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of St. Mary's Lutheran Church, Silver Run.
Joyce is survived by 2 sons and their wives: Matthew & Kimberly Smith of Clearville, PA and Martin, Sr. & Roberta Smith of Baltimore; 6 grandchildren: Martin, Jr. & wife, Dana, Andrew, Kathryn, Emily, Meaghan and Benjamin Smith; 2 nieces and 5 nephews. Joyce was predeceased by a brother Dale Hoffman.
Funeral Service Thursday, June 5, at 11 A.M. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. H. Lee Brumback, II officiating. The family will receive friends 10 -11 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment is in St. Mary's Cemetery, Silver Run.
