Biography:

David L. Honeycutt, Sr., 79, of Middleburg, died Thurs, July 27, at Carroll Hospital, Westminster.  He was the husband of Goldie M. (Plank) Honeycutt for 59 yrs.  Born Oct 12, 1937 in Buledean, NC, Dave was the son of the late Samuel & Pearl E. (Ledford) Honeycutt.  He served in the Army from 1957-62.  He owned and operated an appliance repair service and retired from Lehigh Cement Co., Union Bridge,  in 2002 after 27 yrs of service.
 
Surviving in addition to his wife, are his children:  Debbie Miller & Chris of Littlestown; Donna Honeycutt of York; Ellie Fogle & Charlie of Taneytown; Doug Honeycutt & Tammy of Fairfield; Sam Honeycutt & Suzette of Fairfield; Steve Honeycutt & Dawn of Taneytown and Dave Honeycutt, Jr. & Jennifer Brown of Hanover;  his 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; his 3 brothers:  Bill Honeycutt of Chambersburg; Charlie Honeycutt of Silver Run and Art Honeycutt of Littlestown and his sister Roma Zimmerman of Melbourne, FL.  Dave was predeceased by his brother, George Honeycutt of Harrisburg.  He loved spending time with his family, and his dog, Buddy.  Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, playing the guitar, and listening to bluegrass music.
 
Funeral Service is Tues, Aug 1, at 11 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev.  Charles Marshall officiating.  Viewings are 2 – 4  and 6 – 8 P.M. Monday, July 31, at the funeral home.  Interment is in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Silver Run.  Contributions in Dave’s name may be sent to American Heart Association – 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX  75231  or American Lung Association – 3001 Gettysburg Rd., Camp Hill, PA  17011.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

So sorry to hear about Daves passing. We have a lot of memories to share (some good some bad) but to me they were all good.He was like a brother to me and hung in there with me through thick and thin.Spent many a night at his house and woke up to Goldies good cooking.Praying for you Goldie and all the family as you go through this difficult time Please let me know if you need help with anything Fly high Dave until we meet again Love you Dave and Goldie
