Biography:
George F. Krebs, 95, formerly of Hanover, died Sunday, July 9, at SpiriTrust Lutheran Home, Gettyburg. He was the widower of the late Mary L. (Seipp) Krebs and Mabel L. (Wright) Krebs. Born Dec 11, 1921 in Eklo, MD, George was the son of the late Spencer C. & Georgianna (Rice) Krebs. He served in the navy during WWII and had been a carpenter for E. Gerwig Construction of Baltimore.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Peggy D. Foxwell & Bill of Westminster; his 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to his wives, George was predeceased by his daughters, Judy Hetrick and M. Kathleen Royston and his 2 brothers and 3 sisters. George was affiliated with Jehovah’s Witness. He was a member of American Legion Post #200 of Hampstead, Hanover AMVETS and Littlestown FOE.
Funeral Service is Thurs, July 13, at 11 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with Mr. Ronnie P. Bailey of Kingdom Hall congregation of Freeland, MD, officiating. Viewing is one hour before on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment is in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. Memorials in George’s name may be sent to the SPCA of one’s choice.
