Biography:
Eric D. Drummond, 30 of Taneytown died Saturday July 1 in Taneytown. Born March 3, 1987 in Baltimore, he was the son of Stephen P. Drummond Sr. and wife Sheila of Littlestown and Melody D. Crook Poniatowski and husband Joseph of Taneytown. Eric was a graduate of Winters Mill High School in Westminster and received a B.S. degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y. Eric was a photojournalist.
Surviving in addition to his parents are brothers Stephen P Drummond Jr. of Frederick, Samson D. Poniatowski of Silver Run, stepbrother Steven Day of Gettysburg and stepsister Angela Moore of Dover. Maternal grandmother Barbara L. Cheek of Taneytown, paternal grandmother Helen C. Drummond of Hampstead and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather David E. Crook and paternal grandfather Wm. T. Drummond Sr. Eric loved the outdoors, music, song writing, photography, and helping others.
There will be a Memorial Service Saturday July 15 at 11 A.M. at First Baptist Church, 5015 Baltimore Pike, Littlestown with Pastor Gary R. Bowers officiating. There will be no viewing however family will receive friends Friday July 14 from 6-8 at the church and 1 hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. In Lieu of flowers contributions have been asked to go to Singleton Lyme Awareness Project, www.CROWDRISE.COM/SINGLETONLYMEAWARENESSPROJECT. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

Can't believe this precious, lovable, always smiling young man could be gone from this earth,so soon. My daughter, Natalie, was very close friends with Eric,and he showed her so many things, including photography.. He photographed her older sister's wedding.. And, was such a personable and sweet person. I know Eric will be remembered and missed by everyone who ever knew him.. Please ,Dear Lord Jesus, take care of him.. He is so special. Sending Love and prayers to his parents and family... Hoping we will see you again One Day,in Heaven.

My heart is broken. There is no one in the world like Eric. I love and miss you always. You were the most amazing friend I've ever had. I wish more than anything that I could tell you that again. I think of you every time I play the djembe, take a photo, longboard, wear big sunglasses, and go on a spontaneous hike.

I am so sorry. I pray for peace for you and your family. I saw the picture you posted last week of the three sons.
They are so handsome. Eric was a joy to be around. Mom very much loved him and I believe they are laughing together in Heaven now. Love Dale

Although I was never that close to Eric, he was a light in a dull world...He had a smile that was contagious and I know that a little bit if him lives in the hearts of those he has left behind. My sincere condolences, and I wish his journey to the other side rewards him for the joy he brought to this world.

No words can explain how special and unique Eric was, how he was a light to so many, and befriended all. His story lives on, here on earth, and with our heavenly Father!
