Biography:
G. Lawrence “Larry” Hartman, Jr., formerly of Littlestown, passed quietly to the Lord at his Hanover home on Sunday, May 14. Born in Washington, DC, he spent most of his life in Adams County. He was the son of the late George Lawrence Hartman, Sr. and Mary Rebecca (Ogburn) Hartman. He was the husband of C. Ann (Luckenbaugh) Hartman to whom he was married for 62 years.
He is survived by son Keith (Nancy) of York, daughter Gail Hartman of Hanover, son Brian (Susan) of Port Matilda and daughter Carol (Michael) Nolt of Elizabethtown; 8 grandchildren, Ben Raffensperger, Becky (Timothy) McLaughlin, Andrew (Lauren) Hartman, Katherine (Jason) Heretik, Eric Hartman, Sarah Hartman, Olivia Nolt, Adrienne Nolt and great grandson Wyatt Hartman and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Larry is also survived by brother Joseph, sister Mary Ann Hartman, sister Joan Wisecup , all of Gettysburg, and brother John (Beulah) of Port Republic, VA.
Larry was a 1952 graduate of Biglerville High School and graduated from Penn State University in 1956. He was a realtor for the last 32 years. He had been a member of Adams County Poultry Association, The Gettysburg Lion’s Club, Realtors of York & Adams Co. and Christian Business Men’s Connection. He was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Littlestown, having taught Sunday School and served on Congregational Council and various committees.
Larry was a loving husband and proud father and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and was an avid Steelers fan. He touched many lives and was a devoted student of the Bible. Fulfilling his long-time wishes, his body has been donated to Humanity Gifts Registry.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Larry’s life and faith will be Saturday, July 1, at 11 A.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Richard Michaels officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 53 W. King St., Littlestown or the Four Diamonds Fund through Penn State Children's Hospital.

So very sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I will miss working with him. My thoughts are with the Hartman family.

Larry was a great friend, like a brother. We had many laughs together, he really enjoyed life. He never had an unkind work for anyone and loved his wife and family. I will really miss him. I know he is in a better place. Heaven will greet him with open arms.
