Biography:
Helen M. Kessler, 81, of Hanover, died Friday, May 12, at Hanover Hospital. She was the widow of Vernon E. Kessler who died Sept 12, 2006. Born May 12, 1936 in York, Helen was the daughter of the late John W. & Theda (Wagner) Olewiler. She was a farmer and caregiver.
Surviving are her sons: Larry Phillips of Hanover and Michael Coon of Huntington; her brother Robert Olewiler of Harrisburg and her 3 sisters; Dorothy Rickrode of Littlestown, Martha Sterner and Betty Frey, both of York. She was predeceased by her 2 sisters: Beatrice Jones and Elaine Chandler and her 2 brothers John and Jim Olewiler. Helen was a member of Hanover God’s Missionary Church which she enjoyed attending and loved her Lord. She also enjoyed camp fires, birthday parties, gardening and canning.
Funeral Service is Thursday, May 18, at 11 A.M. at Hanover God’s Missionary Church with Pastor John M. Fisher officiating. Viewing is 10 –11 A.M. Thursday at the church. Interment is in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover. Memorials in Helen’s name be sent to her church @ 1285 Hoff Rd., Hanover, PA 17331. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com
