Biography:

Rodney C. Noel, 92, formerly of Bonneauville, currently of Westminster, died Tues, April 18, at Hanover Hospital.  He was the husband of Anne A. (Poist) Noel who died in 1994 and Roberta D. (Thomas) Noel of Westminster for 15 years.  Born May 14, 1924 in McSherrystown, Rodney was the son of the late Albert & Ruth (Fink) Noel.  He was a Delone Catholic High School graduate and served in the army during WWII as an MP.  He was a plumber and worked in construction. 
 
Surviving in addition to his wife, Roberta, are his children:  Susan E. Noel of Bonneauville and Barry R. Noel of Bradenton, FL;  3 stepchildren; his 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and his sister, Patricia Lawrence of Hanover.  Rodney was predeceased by his 3 brothers and 3 sisters.  He was a member of CWV of Bonneauville and a charter member of Bonneauville Fire Dept.  He enjoyed woodworking, watching Penn State Football and loved spending time with his family.
 
Funeral Service is Friday, April 21, at 2 P.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with Pastor Paul Cole officiating.  Viewing is Friday 1 – 2 P.M. at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown with full military honors conducted by Littlestown Allied Veterans Council.  Memorials in Rodney’s name may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

So sorry to learn of the passing of Rodney. He was a very nice man who served both his country and community. His passing is a loss to many. Sue and Barry, my condolences, your father was a great man.

Roberta and family and the Noel/Poist family,
