William A. “Bill” Lamer, 89 of Littlestown died early Sunday April 9 at the Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of Della Baumgardner Snyder Lamer of Littlestown and Aura Mary Reyes Lamer who died November 1, 1987. Born May 19, 1927 in Belsano, PA, he was the son of the late William and Bertha I. Cramer Lamer. Bill served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from Utz Foods of Hanover in 1993. Bill is survived by his daughters, Shirley Combs of Hanover and Mary Lou Learn of Mechanicsburg, stepdaughter Kay Stuffle of Littlestown, stepsons Donald Snyder and Glenn Snyder of Littlestown, Mark Snyder of Mechanicsburg, Marvin Snyder of Shippensburg, Gordon Snyder of New Oxford and Stepdaughter in-law Gloria Gouker of Littlestown. Four grandsons, 18 step grandchildren, 37 step great grandchildren, 4 step great great grandaughters, brothers James Lamer of Maple Heights, Ohio, Leo Lamer of Littletown,  Joseph Lamer of Hanover and many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by a daughter Nora V. Lamer and sisters Olive Horn and Hazel Smith. Bill was a member of Hanover Fisrt Church of God and VFW Post 6954 of Littlestown where he served in the Color Guard. Bill loved his country, church and Sunday dinners with family. Funeral Service is 11 A.M. Thursday April 13 at Hanover First Church of God, 600 Fairview Dr., Hanover,  PA 17331 with Pastor Jerry Shoap officiating. There will be a viewing Wednesday April 12 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Little’s Funeral Home. Interment will be in Rest haven Cemetery, Hanover with full Military Honors provided by the Littlestown Allied Veterans Council. Memorials have been asked to go to Hanover First Church of God.
