Biography:
Steven David Basehoar, 70, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 21, in Fountain Valley, CA. Born April 21, 1946 in Gettysburg, he was the son of Theron “Slim” Basehoar and the late Eleanor (Motter) Basehoar. Steven was a 1964 graduate of Littlestown High School where he played baseball and basketball. He attended Catawba College in NC and served four yours in the U.S. Army where he was promoted to Captain. He was the youngest captain while serving in Korea. He worked in sales and marketing. Steven was a New York Yankees fan and enjoyed watching sports, especially golf, football and baseball. He liked telling stories and jokes.
Surviving in addition to his father, Theron “Slim” Basehoar of Dover, is his friend, Jane Murphy of Fountain Valley, CA; his two children, daughter Ginger Allen & husband, Daryl of Winter Garden, FL; his son Steven “Dax” Basehoar & wife, Melissa of Little River, SC; his sister Pamela B. Klunk & husband, David of Littlestown; his 5 grandchildren: Brooks and Grace Allen and Chandler, Kalynn and Blake Basehoar. Steven also has two nephews, Christopher Klunk & wife, Michele and their daughter Penelope and Daniel Klunk.
A Memorial Service for Steven will be Saturday, April 29, at 11:30 A.M. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Sterling Fritz officiating. A Visitation is Saturday 10:30-11:30 A.M. Steven I am so saddened by your unexpected passing. You were a very close and dear friend. We shared some good and sometimes some not so good times together and I will very much miss them. You were and always will by my friend.

Slim and Pam,
So very sorry to learn of the loss of your son and brother. Words cannot soothe the sadness during this time. I remember Steve fondly during our growing up days in Littlestown.
