Like others who posted here, I also had the opportunity to meet Irene in Timmins at a Shania Fan Convention.
I appreciated her dry sense of humour and her serious moments as well.
She will be missed by those who knew her.
My condolences to her family.

Irene was a very dear friend.
I too also met Irene at the Shania Twain fan conventions in Timmins Ontario.
I absolutely loved her sense of humor and her million dollar smile.
At the various Fan convention activities and often wink at Irene and say loaded enough for everybody to hear but acted like I was telling her a secret, "Remember Irene, don't forget you're my girl !"..... To which she'd smile, stand up and say loud enough for everybody to hear,
"Did ya hear that everybody, I'm his girl !"
And in a way she always will be.
Our whole group fell in love with Irene.
Today, the world has suffer a loss but the Heavens just gained another Angel.

My late husband, Sam, my son, Cody, and I were among many who met Irene at the Shania Twain fan conventions. Everyone brought thei own unique personality to the group, and from day one we all bonded as family. Irene was fummy, compassionate and arnery - and we loved her immensely. Each year she would tease me that I was out and my husband was hers. I can still hear that deep voice. I will love her and miss her forever. God bless her and you are all in my prayers! Sheri Young

I met Irene had a Shania Twain fan convention in Timmins Ontario Canada. We had a lot of fun at those convention! Irene was fun to be with and fun to listen to. She was a huge Shania Twain fan and didn't like Faith Hill at all. And this she was always proud to tell you. She love to keep the director of the of the fan convention on track. She love to make us all laugh. And now she will meet up with other Shania Twain fan convention attendees who have gone to heaven. They will be having a good time! The Convention fan group will surely miss her. I send my condolences to all of her family! RIP Irene. Love Debbie
