Biography:

Betty L. Wiseman, 85, of Littlestown, died Friday, March 10, at her home.  She was the widow of Robert W. Wiseman who died Sept 2, 2016.  Born March 3, 1932 in Littlestown, Betty was the daughter of the late Luther S., Sr. & Carrie B. (Byers) Hess.  She was a Littlestown High School graduate.  She was a homemaker, a baby sitter, was employed with Cremer Florist, Hanover and a baker for Schottie’s Restaurant, formerly of Littlestown.
 
Surviving are her daughters, Jill A. Baird & husband, Ron, and Judy K. Spielman & husband, Bobby, all of Littlestown; her grandchildren, Andrew Baird & wife, Jackie and Lee Ann Baird & husband, Chris Therit and grand fur baby, Carly; her 5 great grandchildren:  Ryan Baird, Reagan Miller and Tyler, Tanner & Teagan Therit;  and her 2 sisters:  Anna Harner of NC and Mary Ellen Dukeminier of York and a brother Luther S. Hess, Jr. of Hanover. Betty was predeceased by her brothers, Leroy & Bernard Hess and her sisters, Charlotte Ireland and Helen Schwartz.
 
Betty was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown.  She loved baking pies, playing cards, visiting her friends and spending time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren.
 
Funeral Service is Thurs, March 16, at 11 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Richard F. Michael officiating.  Viewing is Wednesday 6 -  8 P.M. and Thursday one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.  Interment is in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.  Contributions in Betty’s name may be sent to her church @ 53 W. So sorry for your loss to your Mother/ Mother -in Law. She is now in no pain or she is not suffering.

I'll miss seeing Betty at Sunday breakfast and the other get-togethers. A wonderful couple always together. Another original Littonian has left us. Rest in peace my friend.
