Biography:

Kathryn C. Mummert, 83, of Littlestown, died Mon, Jan 2, at The Gettysburg Hospital.  She was the wife of D. Allen Mummert for 65 years.  Born May 20, 1933 in Kingsdale, she was the daughter of the late Calvin, Sr. & Emma (Yingling) Zinn.  “Kass” had been employed with Carroll Shoe and Hadco, both of Littlestown, and was retired from Hanover Lantern in 1997 after 10 years of service. 
 
Surviving in addition to her husband are her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas C. Mummert & Brenda of Bonneauville; her 3 grandsons:  Joshua, Cody and Caleb Mummert; her 2 great granddaughters:  Olivia & Jayne Mummert; her brother, Calvin Zinn, Jr. of Germany and her 3 sisters;   Ruth Zinn of Chambersburg; Jane Laughman and Gladys Crouse, both of Hanover.  Kass was predeceased by her son, David A. Mummert, Jr. and 3 sisters:  Romaine Snyder, Madeline and Esther Zinn.  She was an avid reader; loved gardening, bird watching and traveling.  Known as “Aunt Pete”, she loved her nieces and nephews and their picnics together.
 
Services are private and at the convenience of the family.  Memorials in Kathryn’s name may be sent to:  American Lung Association – 3001 Gettysburg Rd., Camp Hill, PA  17011.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

I'm sorry to hear about Aunt Kathryn She was a very sweet person I remember she always nice to us when we were little I liked going to her house will miss her prayers are with her family

Sorry to hear the passing of aunt Kathryn We just got word this am from our neice about this,we don't get the hanover paper so knew nothing of this.aunt Kathryn was Richard's favorite aunt, we are so thankful that uncle Bud and Aunt Kathryn made it to the Zinn family reunion, was Great to see both of them. Richard is Ruth Zinn's son

I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers with the family. I didn't know her that well, but I have heard stories about her from my Grandma Ruth Zinn(her sister). I wish I would have been able to know her better. I will praying for all of the sister's and the rest of the family.
