Biography:

Dr. John J. Legutko, 76, of Littlestown, died Tues, July 12, at his home.  He was the husband of Mary Jo (Keating) Legutko.  Born March 21, 1940 in Pottsville, Dr. John was the son of the late Thomas & Elizabeth (Lychock) Legutko.  He served in the U.S. Marines and National Guard. Dr. John  was a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and was a self employed Chiropractor in Littlestown for 40 years. 
 
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children:  Lawrence Legutko & Michele of Littlestown; Thomas Legutko & Geraldine of Canastota, NY and Karen Klidonas & Gregory of York; his 6 grandchildren: Matthew & Mark Legutko, Athan & Caroline Klidonas, Cynthia Rizzo and Troy Myers; his 2 great grandchildren:  Victor & Maddox Rizzo and his sister, Elizabeth Miller of Pottsville.  Dr. John was a Member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Littlestown where he was on the Parish Council, a CCD teacher, a lector and an usher.  He was past president of both Littlestown School Board and Littlestown Borough Council.  He was a member of Alpha Fire Co., F.O.E., V.F.W., all of Littlestown, Catholic War Veterans of Bonneauville and Hanover Elks.
 
Memorial Mass is Friday, July 15, at 11 A.M. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with The Rev. James M. Sterner Celebrant.  There will be no Viewing.  Inurnment is in the parish cemetery.  Memorials in Dr. John’s name may be sent to his church @ 29 S. Queen St., Littlestown, PA  17340.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

I was so saddened to read of Dr. Legutko's passing. He was such a wonderful person and doctor. When no one else could fix my back, without surgery, he could and did. I owe him so much. My Sincere Sympathies to his family. This just doesn't seem to be enough said for my appreciation of him....... I am saddened.......

MY DEEPEST SYMPATHIES TO ALL THE FAMILY. I ALWAYS APPRECIATED DR. JOHN'S DEDICATION TO AND LOVE FOR HIS PATIENTS. HE WAS A FAITHFUL SERVANT TO ALL HE TREATED. HE HELD HIGH STANDARDS AND GAVE THE VERY BEST CARE HE COULD....HE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED FOR HIS TREMENDOUS WORK THERE IN LITTLESTOWN. MY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU AND ENJOY THE ABUNDANT LIFE GOD PROVIDES.

I am so sorry and shocked to learn of your loss. I just got off the phone with my Dad and we shared many thoughts and a few funny stories. The funny stories, that is how I will always remember him.
