Biography:
Virginia E. Blocher, 87, of Hanover, died Sat., June 18, at Homewood at Plum Creek. She was the wife of Charles M. Blocher for 64 years. Born Nov 7, 1928 in Baltimore City, she was the daughter of the late Frank C. Miller and Hilda (Repp) Miller Hartung. Virginia was a 1946 graduate of Montgomery Blaire High School, Silver Spring, MD and also attended Washington College. She was a secretary for Montgomery Jr. College.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her son, Paul H. Blocher & Susan of Little River, SC; her daughter, Ginger (Blocher) Fisher & Bill of Silver Spring, MD; her 6 grandchildren: Paul J. Blocher, Pamela E. Blocher, Ashley Abbamonte, Allison Salkeld, Mason Fisher and Cindy Cooper and her 6 great grandchildren: Layla, Reid & Clair Blocher, Piper Abbamonte and Justin & Ryan Cooper. Virginia was predeceased by her brother, Frank Blaine Miller. She enjoyed golfing and playing bridge and being with her family.
Private graveside services will be held at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown with The Rev. Alex Martini officiating. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com
