Biography:
Clyde L. Sterner, 92, of Hanover, died early Mon A.M., Nov 2, at Homewood at Plum Creek. He was the husband of Grace (Flickinger) Sterner for 74 years. Born May 13, 1923 in Littlestown, Clyde was the son of the late Roy & Ethel (Wildasin) Sterner. He served in the navy during WWII and was a maintenance foreman for Hanover Shoe Farms.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his sister, Ruth Grove of Hanover. Clyde was predeceased by his brothers, Glenn and Laverne Sterner and his sisters, Beatrice Arentz and Edith Sterner. Clyde was a member a Christ UCC, Littlestown, where he was very active serving on consistory many times, teaching Sunday School, singing on the choir and chairman of Building & Grounds committee. Clyde was also the founding owner of Standardbred Horse Sales campaign.
Funeral Service is Thurs at 11 A.M. at Christ UCC with Pastor Craig Arentz officiating. Viewings are Wed 6 – 8 P.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown and Thurs 10 –11 A.M. at church.
